This is an URGENT request from the head of the Al-Aqaba Village, Haj Sami Sadeq, for your intervention to help save his village from destruction.
Al-Aqaba is a very small village in the Jordan Valley, southeast of Jenin, that, from 1967 until 2003 served as military training grounds for the Israeli Army. Israeli soldiers used to conduct their trainings using the villagers (for example, practicing detaining people, invading homes in the middle of the night, etc.)
After years of court battles and an upcoming ruling by the Israeli High Court this week, the Israeli government seeks to destroy this village, issuing demolition orders for 35 structures, including the kindergarten, sewing factory, the mosque, medical center, and homes built by returning
Please help us highlight the absurdity of demolishing a kindergarten. Help us shed light on the brutal policies of an occupation that can just decide to wipe a village of the map.
